Description
With Raj Udyog boom barriers you can easily control access into areas where unauthorized vehicles or persons are not permitted. Other applications include parking garages, commercial buildings, apartments, hospitals and industries, each supplied with individual control systems. Various models are available with boom lengths from 1 to 7metres. The control unit can be designed to satisfy your specific requirements with various optional extras such as: radio remote control, infra red sensing and manual switching by a guard.
 
Technology
The combination of a special 180V DC motor and lever system represents a simple drive with high reliability. This drive system permits fast opening and closing times without bouncing of the boom in end positions. The special lever system ensures that the boom is locked in both end positions. For boom lengths of over 3 metres, a counterweight balancing spring is used. In the event of a power failure, however, it can be easily operated manually.

The complete drive system is installed on a metal base frame and can be detached easily by removing 4 bolts. The boom weight is exactly balanced by means of a counterweight spring. Adjustment to the appropriate boom length is carried out in the factory prior to delivery.
Housing
The barrier housing is made of 2.0mm CR mild steel welded and finished with polyester powder coating. Standard color is ORANGE RAL 2000 with protection rating IP54. Special colors are available if required at an extra cost. All components inside the housing are easily accessible for maintenance through a lockable access door.

Barrier Boom
The barrier boom consists of rectangular 1.6mm thickness special aluminium section of dimensions 101 x 44 mm. The maximum boom length is 7.0 m. The entire section is polyester powder coated in white (RAL 9010) for long lasting protection and laminated with high quality red and white reflective film.
 
Master Control Unit
Multifunctional control unit in shock resistant plastic housing with plug in terminals for automatic barrier systems. Designed to receive signals from various optional controls such as smart card readers, speed control, remote control transmitters, infra red sensors, etc.
Remote Control System
The simplest and most pleasant method of operating the barriers is by radio remote transmitters. By means of our hand held transmitter you can operate the barrier even from the car. Our state of the art 2 channel digitally coded remote transmitters provide the ultimate in safety and security.
Safety
1. The barrier should be mounted on a concrete foundation of plan area of at least 350 x 400mm and minimum depth of 500mm.
2. A distance of 500mm should be maintained between the boom tip and the nearest building or wall.
3. A barrier rest is required for boom lengths of 4500mm or more.
4. Pedestrian traffic should be discouraged within the immediate operating area.
